Some of you may recall that I recently wrote about Pat Mayberry. Pat is a former student who serves as the chairperson of our advisory committee. Pat is also the chef/owner of Southern Elegance Catering.
When I last mentioned Pat and his company, it was to let readers know that voting was open on the Best Of by the Friendswood and Pearland Journal. Well the votes have been tallied and all winners announced.
This year Southern Elegance came in second. They were beaten by a restaurant that has operated for 43 years and does a great deal of corporate catering.
I say not too bad. First place one year and second the next. Well done. The future is wide open Pat. Good job.
